Colonial Math Challenge

The 2013 Colonial Math Challenge was held Monday, May 6, 2013 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Winnet Student Life Building Great Hall 17 and Spring Garden Streets.

The Colonial Math Challenge is an annual mathematical competition for High School students in the Philadelphia region, under the auspices of the Department of Mathematics of Community College of Philadelphia. It consists of two parts: an individual contest where students solve about 20 problems in areas of elementary algebra, elementary Euclidean geometry, combinatorics, etc. The second part is a team competition, where teams consisting of four to five students successively solve problems posed, and where each problem has a time limit from three to seven minutes, depending on difficulty.
