4/25/2019 ANNOUNCEMENT: Starting Summer 2019, Pearson MyLab will need to be accessed through Canvas.
4/20/2014 ANNOUNCEMENT: Starting Summer 2014, MyLabsPlus will no longer be used for Dr. Gramlich's courses. Instead Pearson MyLab will be used. (CourseCompass was discontinued in Fall 2011.)
IMPORTANT 2013 ANNOUNCEMENT: Starting Summer 2013, CCP will no longer be using Webstudy as the Learning Management System for Distance Education courses. Instead Canvas will be used.
For my classes, Canvas will be used as the communication platform while ALL assignments will be done in PearsonMyLab.
On the FIRST DAY of classes, login to Canvas, follow my QuickStart Guide on your course's "Home" front page, then read EVERYTHING in Canvas (i.e. Home tab, Syllabus tab, Discussion posts) for further instructions and information.
You will need to create a username and password with PearsonMyLab. If you already have an account with PearsonMyLab then just use the same credentials.
Register the same name as used in the CCP registrar so your correct name appears in my Gradebook (no nicknames!)!
Do NOT create more than 1 MyLab account or username as this will cause problems with grading!!
ONLINE TEXT: The PearsonMyLab Access code can be purchased at either PearsonMyLab.com (access code $136 as of Spring 2019) or the CCP Main bookstore (printed customized text with access code- at least $130 but check bookstore for exact price). Beware, USED textbooks do NOT contain the Pearson MyLab Access Code. The PearsonMyLab access code is mandatory since all of your assignments are there. PearsonMyLab also contains the viewable text online and a calculator so a printed physical textbook and calculator are optional.I recommend just using your computer's calculator.
If you do not have or able to buy the access code yet, you can get a Temporary Access Code for 14 days (linked at the bottom after you enter the Course ID). Do NOT create another account when the temp access code expires!
BEWARE! of fake or used access codes being sold online through other vendors.
If you have problems with PearsonMyLab, contact their Customer Technical Support or by phone (my recommendation is to use their chat support). If you have other computer problems please contact your computer brand's Tech Support.
