A Few Simple Rules #1 – When sending an email, please include a salutation and a closing. In other words, emails should begin with something akin to “Dear Professor” and end with a simple closing “Thanks, your name.” Please know that I will only use CCP email addresses to converse with the class! #2 – I will respond to email as quickly as I can. Please know that this may not be immediately, but it will be timely. #3 – I do not accept papers via email unless prior agreement has been made between student and professor. IF I have given permission to send paper via email, please know that I have NOT received it unless you get a confirmation email from me. #4 – Please turn cell phones OFF or set them to SILENT when you are in class. Please do not let them buzz, beep, chirp, ring, or otherwise go off during class! #5 – If you are late for an exam, you forfeit the right to the material that you missed. Do not ask to see the portion of the exam that you missed – I will say no. #6 – Missing material is YOUR responsibility – I will notify you once if you are missing an assignment/quiz/etc. It if your responsibility to get the work to me. #7 – Please talk to me if there is a problem! I don't need to know details of your life, but if I know that something is going on, I can better help you deal with what's going on inside of class! #8 - DO NOT WRITE ON THE DESKS! You would be quite perturbed with me if I came to your house and began doodling on your dining room table. Please do not doodle on the desk. If/When you get bored - doodle in your notebook!
