2015-2016 Scholarship Application Available TF The Faculty Announcement List on behalf of CNEWS Reply all| To: CC-FACULTY@LISTSERV.CCP.EDU; Mon 9/14/2015 14:29 Action Items The Office of Institutional Advancement – Scholarships is excited to announce that the updated 2015-2016 scholarship application is available via the MyCCP portal. Students can click on the Student tab, where they will find the link to the scholarship application in the My Enrollment Services Reminder and To Do List section. Please encourage students to complete the 2015-2016 scholarship application for their chance to be considered for approximately 75 scholarships. Additionally, we will conduct scholarship workshops, during which we address all aspects of the scholarship application throughout the fall 2015 semester at the Main Campus and Regional Centers. Feel free to bring your class or recommend the workshops to students. Workshop will be announced on MyCCP and email. The 2015-2016 scholarship application has been redesigned to be faster and more efficient, displaying only questions and essays relevant to each applicant’s academic history, major, etc. The application requires that students receive a minimum of one recommendation from faculty or counselors at the College. Our office does not accept hardcopy letters. The online application requires students to enter the email addresses for their recommenders, and in turn the recommender will receive an email from Institutional Advancement – Scholarships (not directly from the student) with a link to connect them to the online recommendation form. If you receive an email request for a recommendation, please complete it within one to three weeks, or consider declining the request. PLEASE NOTE: we advise students to speak with potential recommenders before listing them on the scholarship application. Finally, we hope you will consider becoming a scholarship evaluator. So far, many of our faculty, staff, administrators and alumni have participated in the scholarship decision-making process. Most evaluators find that getting to know our students through the process is a fulfilling experience. We welcome you to be a part of it. If you wish to become a scholarship evaluator, please contact us at scholarships@ccp.edu. Thank you for supporting our students!
