Distance Courses are of two types. Different disciplines may require more or less personal contact. Here are the classifications:

Telecourse (TC):
The course is delivered primarily by broadcast video. There are usually a small number of scheduled on-campus meetings (about 4 or 5) for reviews and exams. You follow a syllabus provided by your instructor. A few telecourses may require minimal internet access or e-mail. These courses are not on WebStudy. Students in these courses do not have WebStudy accounts unless they are taking another online course.

Online (OL): These courses are delivered primarily online. The course management software is called WebStudy® and is totally browser-based. The course material is frequently a textbook, supplemented by materials delivered via the internet. There may be a small number of on-campus meetings (1 or 2). A few online courses may have an associated broadcast.
Some existing courses not listed yet are being enhanced for the web and there may be some additional courses introduced as well. Check orientation dates and meeting dates (use links above) for the latest developments.
