This is the Accounting course that concentrates on teaching you how to prepare Financial Statements for presentation to people outside of the company, such as, Creditors, Regulatory Agencies, and Stockholders.  You will learn three of the four required statements – The Income Statement, The Balance Sheet, and The Statement of Retained Earnings.

Accounting is a subject that we learn by doing.  You must be prepared to spend time outside of the classroom for doing problems as well as the reading of the chapters.  You should have the assigned chapter read prior to my lecture so that you will be familiar with the subject matter I am presenting.

Please note that a one hour computer lab is part of each class.  We will be integrating this into the teaching of accounting principles and financial statements.

Any student registered with the Center for Disabilities must inform me before the end of the first week if special accommodations are needed.
