Learning Lab Summer Workshops
2008



  These workshops are NOT designed to be taken while you are taking the actual class. They are preparatory in nature to help you succeed in the future. They are FREE for students enrolled at the Community College of Philadelphia during Summer or Fall 2008. The workshops are limited to 20 participants. Participants are expected to attend the entire session. Registration will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in B2-36. Get ready for Algebra (Math 017)
Do you want to enter Math 017 with confidence? This workshop is designed to be taken before Math 017 to help you prepare for a successful experience. Learn about the pace and expectations in your first algebra course as you explore topics such as signed numbers, algebraic expressions, and linear equations with one variable. 		  Summer I  Mon.&Wed. 9:30a.m.-10:50a.m.

Get ready for Intermediate Algebra
(Math 118)
Would you like to enter Math 118 with confidence? Did you study Beginning Algebra a while ago? Perhaps you passed Math 017 recently but feel that you can profit from some review, or you don't want to "get rusty" over the summer. This workshop will give you a chance to review/reinforce important math topics that you will be expected to know prior to entering Math 118. 		  Summer I  Tue.&Thu. 12:30a.m.-1:50a.m.
