Learning Lab Summer Workshops
2008





 Do you plan to take Precalculus or Calculus in the near future?
 Did you take your algebra class several semesters ago?
 Do you often have difficulties in solving math homework problems?


 If you answer YES for any of these questions, you may benefit from this Algebra Review.

Participants must have successfully completed Math 118 or placed directly into a Math class higher than Math 118


  In this workshop you will review some important topics from algebra that you will be expected to know prior to entering any precalculus or calculus class. Topics include solving equations (linear and quadratic with word problems), graphing, factoring, polynomials, radicals and rational expressions. These workshops will meet two times a week for 5 weeks. They are FREE for students enrolled at the Community College of Philadelphia during Summer or Fall 2007. These workshops are limited to 20 participants. Participants are expected to attend the entire session. Registration will take place from 10:00am to 3:30pm. starting on April 14th in B2-36. Workshops may be cancelled if
fewer than 15 students register.
