This grade will include
active participation in class discussion & the presentation of one current
article from a magazine or newspaper to discuss with the class. The article must relate to business
issues we are discussing in class.
DEADLINES:
Unless
I tell you otherwise, assignments are due at the beginning of class. If your assignment is late, I will
reduce your grade. The penalty for
late assignments is ˝ grade for every day late. Partial days will be treated as full
days.
DESCRIPTION OF THE
COURSE: This is an advanced course for
paralegals focusing on the legal concepts relating to the different business
formats such as sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability companies
and corporations.
PROJECT
DESCRIPTION: For the class project,
you will be forming a corporation in groups of 2 or 3. No individual projects will be accepted
for any reason. Each project will
receive a grade that will be the grade each member receives subject to the
following. Team members will
evaluate the participation and cooperation of their teammates, and individual
team members may have their grade lowered if their teammates’ evaluation of
their performance is poor.
