Welcome to Math 171 Calculus 1 on the Web for Summer 1 2018!
The first step for taking this class is enrolling in Canvas. Once enrolled in Canvas you can find the weekly descriptions of the topics in the Modules.
The second step is enrolling in WebAssign. To enroll in WebAssign your course key is ccp 8065 0336. Your work will be in WebAssign. WebAssign is where you will find your on line homework and weekly exams. If you have technical problems with WebAssign you can call 1-888-281-2990 between 10 and 9 Monday through Friday
The Third step is purchasing a copy of James Stewart's Calculus early transcendentals Math 171 from the book store, which contains the necessary access card and ebook. You must have an access card to use WebAssign, so you must buy a new edition from the book store.

This is not a self-paced course. Homework due twice weekly: Tuesdays and Fridays by 8:00 p.m. Each week there is a 10 to 15 question Exam due Sunday by 8:00 p.m.
Expect to spend at least two hours a day reading the text and doing homework. Do not try to do everything at the last minute. Obviously self motivation is key.
