Welcome to Math 171 Calculus 1 on the Web for Spring 2012!
The first step for taking this class is enrolling in Web Study. Once enrolled in Web Study you will find your instructions in the Timeline. All communication is done through WebStudy.
The second step is enrolling in WebAssign. To enroll in WebAssign choose "I have a class key". Your class key is ccp 8655 5618. Your work will be in WebAssign. WebAssign is where you will find your on line homework and weekly exams. For technincal support with WebAssign you can call 1-800-955-8275
The Third step is purchasing a copy of James Stewart's Calculus early transcendentals 6th edition Math 171 from the bookstore, which contains the necessary access card and ebook. You must have an access card to use WebAssign, so you must buy a new edition from the bookstore. Alternatively, you may purchase the Enhanced WebAssign Homework and eBook Printed Access Card I would only recommend this option if you already have an actual text.

This is not a self-paced course. Homework due twice weekly: Tuesdays and Fridays by 9:00 p.m. Each week there is a 10 to 15 question Exam due Sunday by 9:00 p.m.
Expect to spend at least two hours a day reading the text and doing homework. Do not try to do everything at the last minute. Obviously self motivation is key.
