_____I can familiarize myself with the course website. I know how to find: _____I am able to find time to log into the course on a regular basis. (at least 3 to 4 times weekly, daily is best) _____I can keep up with the course schedule, assignments and due dates. I understand online courses are designed to provide a semester full of assignments, activities, tasks, and tests. _____I will contact my instructor or classmates whenever I have questions. I will ask questions immediately and I will not wait until I get frustrated before asking for help. I am aware in a distance course, the instructor or my classmates have no way of knowing if I don't understand something unless I take the initiative and ask for help. _____I can plan. I realize I have greater freedom of scheduling but that brings a greater responsibility to be self-motivated and self disciplined to complete the course tasks. _____I am aware online classes require at least as much time as on-campus courses and most likely more time. Students surveyed say that online courses are as hard as or harder than on-campus courses. _____I am comfortable using technology and can use it properly. I have access to a computer and the internet. |
