This course has been divided into 15 sessions, each session addressing one chapter of the textbook. Not all sessions will be visible to you at a time. Throughout the semester, sessions will be opened and closed as necessary. The length of time allowed to complete a session will vary with the complexity of the material. Please see the semester calendar on my webpage to learn the exact amount of time you will be given.

Classroom                  An online course is similar to a live class, except your not sitting in front of the instructor. You should plan your time to allow for regular class attendance, class preparation time, and study time. Throughout the course, you will be given the opportunity to participate in discussions through the WebStudy Forum, an area where students and instructors can discuss issues and respond to questions posed. In addition, you are welcome to have one on one discussions with me through AOL Instant Messenger. My AOL screen name is ShafferCFP.

Attendance            An online course is no different than a traditional classroom course in that it is critical that you keep up with the assignments. They can be found in the “Timeline”, “Calendar” and “Examinations” areas of Web Study. Many times, these are only available during specific periods of time, and if you miss them the windows are not reopened. You are expected to log into Webstudy at least once a week. Should you be unable to log in it is your responsibility to contact me. If you fail to log for two or more weeks without an acceptable excuse you may be withdrawn from the class.
