Differential Calculus I

The Maths 165-166 sequence is an integrated (honours) Pre-Calculus and Calculus sequence. This course emphasises understanding and calculus literacy rather than computational mastery. For students who need and/or desire familiarization with and literacy in Differential Calculus. Students may then take Differential Calculus II and then traditional Calculus II. Prerequisite: MATH 118 with grade of C or better or MATH 161 placement. Topics include: Functions and Algebra of Functions. Transformations of Functions. Polynomial, Rational, Algebraic Functions and their derivatives and graphs.
