Facility Management

The Facility Management program leads to an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Facility Management. Students are provided with a foundational education in this multi-disciplinary field, which focuses on a broad array of interests and concerns related to buildings: planning and space programming, design and construction, and real estate asset and project management. Students select one of two paths, a concentration in either design or construction. Structured to be recognized by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), this program provides students with the requirements for an entry level position as a Facility Manager, Space Programmer, Space Planner, Construction Manager, or Move Coordinator. It may also serve as the basis for transfer to a four-year degree program.

Program Entry Requirements:
Students are required to take the College’s placement tests at the time of entry. Students identified as needing developmental course work must satisfactorily complete the appropriate English and mathematics courses in addition to the requirements of their degree program.

Program of Study and Graduation Requirements:
To qualify for the A.A.S. degree in Facility Management, a student must complete a minimum of 63 credits as prescribed and attain a minimum grade point average of 2.0 (C average).
