The
Next Step-Start Early to Optimize Your Transfer
If you are interested
in transferring to a four-year college upon completion of your associate’s
degree, you should consult a transfer counselor. It is important to do this early in your
education at Community College to be sure that the courses you take transfer
to the four-year college. You can make
an appointment to see a transfer counselor by calling (215) 751-8169.
Transfer agreements
are in place between the CST curriculum and programs at some four-year
colleges in the Philadelphia area. These agreements insure that no credits
will be lost upon transferring if the student receives the Associate in Arts
degree in CST. You can get more information about the transfer agreements by
meeting with a transfer counselor, calling the CST Curriculum Coordinator, or
reading the information on the college website (see link on left-College
Transfer Page).
Community College of Philadelphia has Dual Admissions
Programs agreements with eight area Colleges and Universities: Cabrini, Chestnut Hill, Cheyney, Drexel, Eastern, LaSalle, Peirce and Temple. Students can earn an
Associate degree with CCP and then transfer to one of the above Colleges to
complete the Bachelor Degree. Dual admissions programs are designed to assist
students in a seamless transition to enrollment in four year institutions.
Support services and financial incentives including scholarship awards are
built in to offer students the best chance of success. For more information
on the benefits of dual admissions programs, contact Sandra Gonzalez-Torres
in the Division of Educational Support Services (W1-1) or visit the college
website (see link on left-Dual Admissions Programs).
