Engineering Science

Engineering is a challenging and well-paid profession. Current engineering graduates are among the most successful in receiving outstanding job offers. The work they do is increasingly important. America’s future depends on how well engineers, scientists and others deal with energy problems, environmental pollution and our use of natural resources.

The Engineering Science Program uses modern labs which are well equipped and well staffed. The Engineering student will learn experimental procedures using precision instruments. In the physics lab, instructors guide students through many interesting experiments of theoretical and practical value. In-lab computers are used to analyze data and computer-aided drafting software is used for work in design.

Many Community College of Philadelphia students complete their Associate’s Degree and transfer to one of the area colleges and universities offering a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Community College of Philadelphia students find that they are well prepared to major in most engineering disciplines, including aerospace, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial, mechanical and nuclear engineering.
