Respiratory Care Technology

Earn $46,000 your first year as a graduate Respiratory Care Practitioner. We offer the only program of its kind in the City of Philadelphia, and as such, our graduates are in great demand for positions in hospitals, sub-acute care and skilled nursing facilities, and the booming home health care industry. The U.S. Department of Labor’s bureau of Labor Statistics, in its recently published “Occupational Outlook Handbook,” names Respiratory Care as a “…fastest growing profession,” with an estimated increased need for competently trained practitioners of 37 % (38,000 jobs) by the year 2010.

The College’s Respiratory Care Technology Program is fully accredited by the Committee for Accreditation of Respiratory Care, and graduates are qualified to sit for any of the professional board and specialty examinations offered by the National Board for Respiratory Care. In addition, graduates are eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania and any state or country that offers licensure.
