Dental Hygiene

 

     Dental Hygienists work in stimulating, professional environments and play a key role in preventive oral health education and treatment. They are important members of the Dental Health Care Team. Hygienists are employed in private dental practices, hospitals, health maintenance organizations, private and state institutions, community health agencies, private and public school systems, and industry.

     Dental Hygiene is listed as one of the “Fastest Growing Occupations through 2012” by the U.S. Department of Labor. This is a high salary career with the potential to earn $60,000 or more after completing the program. Community College of Philadelphia’s Dental Hygiene Program offers students excellent academic and clinical preparation to enable the student to be a successful practicing Dental Hygienist in a demanding workforce.
