What is CST and what can it do for you?

The Culture, Science and Technology (CST) Program is rich in Science, Math and Technology.  The curriculum was designed to offer flexible choices as you work toward your educational goals. Many students in the CST Program have an interest in a particular select program such as Computer Science, Engineering or Nursing. Since these select programs have entrance requirements, students may be placed into CST until they have taken the necessary classes and achieved the required Grade Point Average.

It is strongly advised that while you are placed in the Culture, Science and Technology Program you learn all you can about what this program has to offer. If you remain in CST, you can earn an Associate in Arts Degree which is transferable to a four year institution. Several of the finest area universities have transfer arrangements with Community College of Philadelphia and its CST curriculum.

It is also recommended that you explore the various select programs offered at Community College of Philadelphia.  Many students enter with the intention of becoming a Nurse. They are not aware that there are Allied Health and Science/ Technology careers which offer similar or higher salaries, flexibility, job opportunities and challenge as a Nursing career.

Keep an open mind while you are a CST student. Continue to explore your options. The Culture, Science and Technology curriculum is the perfect curriculum for you while working toward your goals. It truly offers a world of opportunities.
