Are you a good student with big dreams? Become a Bucknell Community College
Scholar! Bucknell University is one of the nation’s top
universities with more than 50 majors and 60 minors, many in the fields of
Science and Engineering. As a Bucknell Community College Scholar you may be
eligible to receive tuition for two years of full-time enrollment and
additional financial aid to assist with room, board and books. You may be
considered for this program if you are in an A.A. or A.S. degree program,
have a GPA of 3.5 or better and have completed between 12 and 24 college
credits as of the Fall, 2011 semester. Learn more about this wonderful opportunity at an
information/recruitment session on Wednesday, February 1st,
2012. The session will take place in the Counseling Conference Room, W2-3E,

The Community College of Philadelphia in partnership with an internationally renowned
biomedical research center The Wistar Institute proudly present Spring 2012 Information Sessions To
learn about exciting career opportunities in biomedical and cancer research
laboratories or in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
to help cure disease, plan to attend one of the upcoming Information Sessions: Thursday, 16 February,

BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN TRAINING PROGRAM
Prepare for the Allied Health Test This workshop, presented by Learning Lab faculty, will
help students get ready for the Allied Health Test, which is required for
admission to several health career programs at CCP. Attendance at this workshop is optional. There is no need to preregister. Seating is on a space available basis. Choose either date below: Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 3 PM- 5 PM Or Monday, February 13th, 2012 4 PM-6 PM Both workshops will take place in C2-28. C2-28 is located on the second floor of the Center for Business and Industry (CBI) Building at 18th
and Callowhill Street.

Now is the time to plan for success! The beginning of the semester is the perfect time to
tune up your academic plan. Research your options, set your goals, and
evaluate what you need to do to be successful. Follow the tips below to
stay on track! 1) Strive
for excellent grades. Health care and science programs can be very

CST Science/Tech Concentration Now
Offers Even More Flexibility! When choosing your Technology courses, you may now
choose courses in Architecture, Design and Construction (ADC 103, 163 and
263), PLS 115 or any CF, GIS, CIS or CSCI course. Remember to choose from
the same discipline when building depth in technology. Explore one of these exciting fields of
technology as you complete your Culture, Science and Technology Degree!

Program- Health Services Management Prepare for an exciting career in Health Care
Management! An associate’s degree in Health Services Management will begin
to prepare you for a career that is in demand. You will acquire the skills
you need to understand the health care delivery system. Specifically, you
will learn how to prepare and manage budgets, conduct a financial analysis
of a medical practice and develop coding and reimbursement policies and

Don’t Miss the Boat! October Begins the Application Period
for Health Care Programs Follow the steps below to make sure you don’t miss the
boat! 1)
Assess whether you have met the requirements for
application to the program of your choice by reviewing that information at http://www.ccp.edu/site/academic/catalog/degrees/index.php
. Look under the program of choice and then “Program Entry Requirements.”
For Nursing, review the application requirements and process at http://faculty.ccp.edu/dept/cst/NursingApp.htm
. The GPA and course requirements for application must be met January of
2012. 2) For
Diagnostic Medical Imaging (DMI), the priority deadline for application is
February 1st, 2012. Go to the Counseling Center to apply. 3)
For Nursing, the absolute deadline for application
is January 13th, 2012. Please see posting to the left for more
information. 4)
Applicants to Dental
Hygiene, Respiratory Care Technology, Clinical Lab Technician, and Medical
Assisting should contact Counseling in W2-2 or at 215-751-8169 to arrange
to see a counselor for the application. 5)
This year, all
applicants, except those for Medical Assisting, will be required to take
the Allied Health Test. The test will be scheduled as part of the
application process. You cannot schedule the test yourself. However, you
can begin to prepare by practicing basic Math, Grammar and Reading.
