Biomedical
Technician Training Program The Biomedical Research Technician is
responsible to the Principal Investigator or head of the biomedical research laboratory
for the day-to-day operation of the lab. The work of the Biomedical Research
Technician focuses on the basic and applied scientific research that takes
place in the laboratory, performing a variety of routine and moderately
complex laboratory techniques and chores, maintaining laboratory equipment,
keeping the laboratory stocked and keeping research notebooks and laboratory
records. The work of the technician can be independent within an
organizational structure, require judgment in solving problems and making
routine recommendations, and include sharing of common jobs. The technician’s
work is regarded with equal respect and importance among personnel from
different levels of commitment and reasons to be in the laboratory. The
Biomedical Research Technician is responsible for following protocols, making
detailed observations, obtaining, analyzing and recording data, and reporting
experimental results to the immediate supervisor or head of the laboratory. Successful graduates will be ready to apply
for full-time positions as Biomedical Research Technicians. An entry-level
Biomedical Research Technician can earn a starting salary in the range of
$23, 000 to the high $30,000’s with many opportunities for career and
