The Department of Chemistry follows a strict safety policy for all work done in the laboratory. All students are required to attend a safety lecture given by each lab instructor during their first lab period. Students are then required to take and pass with 100% accuracy a departmental safety test. A sample safety test and its answer key can be found below. Students are also required to wear eye protection and appropriate clothing in the laboratory at all times.
