Education and Licensure

 

Dr. Pascal Scoles is Professor, and Coordinator of the Behavioral Health Human Services Program, Department of Behavioral Sciences, Community College of Philadelphia. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He received his doctorate in Addictions and Health from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Social Work, his master’s degree from Rutgers University and his bachelors’ degree from LaSalle College, Philadelphia, PA.

 

Areas of Professional Interest

 

For more than thirty years he has been an educator, therapist, teacher and consultant to treatment facilities, city and state governments, the criminal justice system, as well as a psychotherapist to chemically dependent individuals and their families.                                          

Dr. Pascal Scoles served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Mayor’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Executive Commission, City of Philadelphia, from 1979 to 1985. He was a member of the Governor’s Alcohol and Highway Safety Task Force, State of New York and served as the Senior Consultant to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Alcohol–Highway Safety Program from 1974 to 1986. The statewide Court Reporting Network (CRN) Evaluation system as well as the statewide DUI safe driving schools were developed and implemented by Dr. Scoles under contract with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Department of Transportation.
